A powerful 2kW electric motor gives the City 2000 a maximum speed of approx. 30 miles per hour and the 48V lead-acid batteries give a range of about 30 miles on a full charge.
Front disc and rear drum brakes provide the stopping power. Marzocchi telescopic fork front suspension and coil spring oil damper rear unit iron out the bumps.
